Top Dog Training’s Board & Train program is designed for owners who want meaningful, lasting improvement in their dog’s behavior without trying to solve every problem on their own. Your dog stays with us at our professional training facility in Corona, Queens, where training becomes part of the dog’s daily routine—not just a one-hour lesson once a week.
During our intensive 2-week, 3-week, or 4-week Board & Train programs, your dog receives structured daily training, exercise, socialization when appropriate, rest, and individual attention from experienced professional trainers.

Our goal is not simply to get your dog to listen to us. Our goal is to teach your dog the skills they need and then show you exactly how to maintain those behaviors when your dog comes home.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Unlike every other Board & Train in the area, Top Dog DOES NOT use E-Collars (shock collars) or harsh punishments. WE ARE A POSITIVE-REINFORCEMENT-ONLY FACILITY.
Board & Train is an immersive dog-training program in which your dog stays at our Corona, Queens facility while receiving professional training every day. Instead of trying to teach a new behavior during a short weekly lesson, we are able to work with your dog consistently throughout the day.
Training is customized to your dog’s temperament, personality, learning style, and behavioral needs. There is no one-size-fits-all training program.
Top Dog Training intentionally limits enrollment to a maximum of six dogs during each 2-week Board & Train training period.
We are not interested in operating a high-volume training kennel. Keeping the program small allows us to provide substantially more individual attention, closely monitor each dog’s behavior and progress, and adjust the training program when necessary.

Our Board & Train program can address any common—and not-so-common—behavior problems.
Dogs that bark, lunge, growl, pull or become overly excited when they see other dogs, people, bicycles, squirrels or other triggers.
Depending upon the dog and circumstances, we may work with dogs displaying aggression toward dogs or people, defensive behaviors, territorial behavior or previous bite histories.

Teaching dogs how to greet people calmly instead of jumping on visitors or family members.
