At Top Dog Training, we take the time to understand your dog’s specific needs and cater a training method based around them to maximize efficient and life-long training methods.

Our positive dog training methods require happy voices, treats, and repetition as we have found that to be the only reliable method in dog training. The first few training sessions are done within your home, where your dog can feel as comfortable as possible and have minimal distractions while learning new behaviors.

We assess both the dogs’ behavior as well as their home environment to understand more of why they act the way they do. With that information in mind, we propose methods on how best to enhance the environment and create a training plan based on your dog’s specific needs.

After a few training sessions in which the behavior modifiers have been successful, we begin to branch out training into new places — such as your backyard or local park — to make sure these behaviors are solidified in those new environments.
